Finally, for the part of the update that is most exciting (alongside the fact that Lauren is stable and moving in the right direction): TAYLOR SWIFT visited Lauren!
As the journal entry picture and title suggest, THE Taylor Swift came to visit Lauren and our parents at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Our family is SO honored, humbled and excited by the fact that she would take time out of her day to come and visit Lauren. All 11 of us (Mom, Dad, Grandma, 7 kids, and even Seamus) have been HUGE Taylor Swift fans for years now, and this event has sent our love for Taylor off the charts.
Not only did Taylor come and visit Lauren and talk with Mom and Dad, but she also FaceTime’d with Kelsey, Ryan and Maggie. By doing this, she was able to lift both Team Murphy LA’s and Team Murphy O’Fallon’s spirits. We are so thankful to Taylor. THANK YOU!!
We are also extremely thankful to Taylor Swift for her very generous donation to Lauren’s recovery fund. We are unsure what the future holds for Lauren—especially during this difficult waiting period—but knowing that so many people, including Taylor Swift, are supporting our family with donations and prayers gives us confidence that we can get through every challenge sent our way.
Dad also mentioned that Taylor brought two, signed CDs for Lauren. Our family was very touched by the fact that Taylor was thinking and caring so much about Lauren, she went to Target on her way to the hospital, bought two of her own CDs, removed the wrappers and signed them for Lauren—SO sweet.
We cannot thank Taylor enough for her visit to the hospital, her generous donation and for the lifting of our entire family’s spirits.
